The Design Group Mining Division in collaboration with our client, a Global Leader in the Energy sector, is looking for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Planner for their Mining operation. Reporting to the Planning and Projects Superintendent, you will be responsible for creating plans and task lists for all maintenance repair activities. The focus for the position is improvement of work force productivity and maintenance of records and files for meaningful analysis based on completed work
Key Responsibilities:
Identify all Health, Safety Environmental requirements pertaining to all maintenance activities that have an impact of a specific job plan
Formulate quality job plans for all maintainable assets and consult necessary departments and obtain required background and information for job plan clarity
Develop detailed work plans for mine mobile equipment jobs with necessary information for efficient resource and information management
Ensure all QA/QC requirements are met for work package creation
Work very closely with the Scheduler in ensuring:
Promotion of energy conservation
PM system management
Forecasting of upcoming work by engagement of the Operations and Process Engineering groups
Preparation and management of opportune work draft schedules
Promotion of an accurate definition and estimation of individual and group work requests
Key Qualifications:
Possess a valid Drivers License
High School is a minimum requirement or equivalent1
10 years experience with mobile heavy industry maintenance with technical certification
Expert knowledge of Mine Maintenance processes and oil sands maintenance programs
Familiarity with heavy industry planning, scheduling and execution concepts
Thorough working knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability practices
Continuous improvement skills and commitment to best practices
Excellent interpersonal skills; communication and influencing
Ability to build good, respectful working relationships
Proven coaching and mentoring techniques and skills and an ability desire to train others
Flexible with travel including potential to work assignments at oil sands operations
Note:
The position is initially based in Calgary but will move to rotation during the transition to start-up, becoming a full time fly-in/fly-out role to site from either Calgary or Edmonton. It will remain a fly-in, fly-out post start-up for long term operation.
