Our global client, one of the world's largest publicly owned EPCM companies, is seeking highly motivated team players to join their expanding team. This is a great opportunity for experienced Senior Mineral Process Engineers to work for industry leader.
The Role:
The Company is seeking Senior Mineral Process Engineers to join their team in Vancouver. Under general supervision, the Mineral Process Engineers may be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Supervise work of a technical nature of project/s.
- Prepare reports and coordinate/supervise the preparation of comprehensive reports and evaluations.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers in the preparation of detailed design for a process plant.
- Prepare estimates of operating costs.
- Prepare proposals for work including scope, execution plan, cost estimate, and schedule.
- Prepare plans for commissioning and start up of process plants.
- liaison with clients.
The Candidate:
Applicants for this role must have an engineering degree with a minimum 10 years of experience in the design/construction/operation of mineral processing plants. Relevant experience in Mineral Processing is required as well as experience with gold and copper or base metal concentrators. Experience in mining or minerals process design such as slurry systems, crushing, grinding, sizing, floatation, filtration, thickening processes, gold leaching and recovery, copper heap leach and solvent extraction (or other solvent extractions) is highly desirable.
The individual chosen for this role will have excellent supervisory abilities and teamwork skills. Eligibility or registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada is a definite asset. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, highly creative, achievement focused and have a strong attention to details and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
