The role will essentially be Short – Mid Term Planning reporting into a Planning Superintendent. The Tech Services team is relatively small so your role will be very diverse, you will be working with another planning engineer and a few production Engineers too. The Manager and Superintendent have both been on site for over 6 years so there is plenty of experience there to help you get on your feet.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Producing the Weekly to 13 week plans to reflect the priorities, production targets, and equipment and manning resources.
- Communicating the plan with the Production, Geology and Survey Departments to discuss priorities, responsibilities and requirements
- Project based work with the objective of prolonging the LOM… The LOM is currently set at 2016 and plans are in place to take it past 2020.
The organization is a tier 1 Mining company with operations worldwide. Management do not recruit Senior Engineers as they prefer to recruit Mining Engineers and internally promote their Seniors so your career path is clearly mapped out for you.
Bachelor of Mining Engineering
2-5 years Mining Engineering experience (Underground ok)
Planning software experience preffered
