MINING SUPERVISOR

- $190,000 + super + bonus .
We are seeking an experienced Mining Supervisor to lead a professional mining team at our large Open Cut Coal mine in the Hunter Valley. You will posses drive, motivation and an attitude of determination in order to deliver the best outcomes for our rapidly expanding site.
This is a residential role, with a majority of employees choosing to reside in Singleton or Muswellbrook, a short drive from the coast and offering good infrastructure: schools, social clubs and sporting facilities. As well as a great quality of life, you will be rewarded with an outstanding remuneration package and a lifestyle based even time days/ nights roster.
The Role:
- Liaise with the Mining Superintendent to ensure all mining crews are working efficiently and effectively and plan all day to day
- Allocate sufficient resources to ensure that day to day production targets are met in a safe and efficient manner with consideration to our commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment
- Ensure that all activities are undertaken and delivered in accordance with company standards, systems and procedures as well as relevant legislative requirements being fulfilled
- Communicating with and providing technical support to the Mining and Processing teams as required in order to develop the capabilities of the Mine Site in a safe and sustainable manner
- Liaise effectively between the Technical Support and Maintenance departments to ensure a Continuous Improvement ethos is shared throughout the Mining Team to achieve the best overall result for the business
You will require:
- A current OCE Certificate
- A strong understanding of open cut mining equipment and open cut mining techniques
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within an Open Cut Mining environment
- Outstanding communication skills
