MIS & Controls Analyst
An MIS Controls SOX Analyst is needed in Bournemouth for a 6 month contract.
MIS production and delivery
• Providing a final quality review of metrics provided to senior management/external recipients to ensure accuracy.
• Critically analysing the data produced by the team and challenging any spikes or exceptions
• Comprehensive understanding of the MIS produced and utilising this to produce bespoke MIS requests.
• Working with the business to understand their MIS requirements.
• Adapting existing processes to accommodate platform migration or changes in trading approach.
• Seeking opportunities to work with other LOBs to ensure consistency across LOBs.
• Driving forward an agenda of change, using less Access based MIS and asking for more of our end state technology applications.
Controls
• Comprehensive understanding of the internal trade reconciliations performed by the team.
• Working closely with technology and Operations on enhancement requests to reconciliations.
• Ensuring all our reconciliations meet the standards dictated with IB policy and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring technology requirements are in place prior to risk platform migrations.
Operations Risk Management
• Lead for SOX testing, co-coordinating testing within the group and working with the Central SOX team on any initiatives.
• Bournemouth contact for risk events.
• Liaising regularly with the Global ORM team on control related projects (policies, control self assessment, deep dives).
• Ownership of offline action plans ensuring that they are closed out on time and have appropriate oversight.
• Producing MIS for senior management from Phoenix.
• Business Contingency supervision – ensuring that the unit has current resiliency plans in place and perform key associated tasks including Basingstoke visits, regular calling tree and work from home tests.
• Guardian of access for Commodities owned applications.
• Production of monthly ORM newsletter.
