Mixed Signal Design Engineer
Summary:
Design, analyze and prototype products and design systems from concept through pre-production phase. Design validate mixed-signal analog digital circuits: signal conditioning, A/D, D/A, microprocessor/DSP embedded systems, power supplies, FPGA/CPLD. Design system and sub-system level requirements. Develop Circuit Card Assembly and system test planning and procedure generation for prototypes and first generation product. Design detailed CCA sub-systems. Use tools like VISIO, Power Point, Excel, Word, Matlab/Mathcad, design using CAD design tools (i.e. Orcad) and other software to perform routine engineering tasks as required.
Qualifications:
· B.S. degree in Engineering or Physics 3 years’ experience
· M.S. degree preferred 1 year of experience
· Digital and analog Circuit Card Assembly design, construction, and layout.
· Proficiency in VISIO, Power Point, Excel, Word, Matlab/Mathcad, etc. software to perform engineering tasks.
· Ability to read and understand equipment requirements, performance specifications, schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists, test procedures, engineering drawings, technical procedures, and industry regulations.
Additional Preferences:
· Blackfin™ based embedded processor design.
· PIC based embedded processor design.
· Audio amplifiers design.
· Power supply design (AC/DC and DC/DC).
· EMI/EMC design.
· μCLinux embedded or RTOS systems.
· Networking protocols.
· Life safety systems, fire systems, or mass notification systems.
· DFSS (Design For Six Sigma) experience.
