Job Description Summary
Our Frisco based software client designs successful, innovative distributed computing frameworks and applications. They currently have an opportunity for a strongly motivated Software Application Engineer to join the team developing collaborative applications that extend the reach of back office systems to mobile devices. The successful candidate will embrace a team-oriented test-driven agile development process and will bring experience designing and implementing software applications on iPhone/iPad and Android devices, strong communication skills, strong problem solving skills and must enjoy working with people.
Responsibilities
1. Contribute to application framework design and implementation
2. Enhance and rearchitect existing products
3. Evaluate and integrate open source software
4. Improve existing development processes
5. Conceive new product ideas
6. Help set product direction
7. Analyze planned product features
8. Stay current in best practice software development
9. Participate in developing and filing patents
Required Education
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Required Work Experience
* 2+ yrs of Objective-C/iPhone application design and development
* 2+ yrs of C# application design and development
Required Skills
* Strong Objective-C design and development skills. Experience with Mac OS X, Xcode, Cocoa(API), iPhone/iPad UI views and controls
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (e.g. comfortable communicating in a public forum and writing technical documentation and white papers).
* Self motivated
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in an interrupt-driven environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
* Must enjoy interacting with customers
Desired Skills
* Experience in designing and developing new products for mobile devices
* Experience with HTML5, Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, MapKit, location based services, CVS, SVN, Nunit, Visual Studio.
