Mobile Applications Developer

Position Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value
- Developing pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends
- Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making
- Develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business
- Provide alternate design solutions along with project estimates Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams
- Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions. Ability to solve complex production issues
- Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
- Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Will be expected to function as a mentor for junior developers, providing assistance where needed
- Create database SQL, Stored Procedures and Packages.
- Follow the SDLC process to develop, test, stage and deploy applications to production.
- Recommend solutions that maximize value to user stakeholders, promote flexibility and data consistency without expanding the footprint of the BI architecture.
- Collaborate with and take direction from the BI Architect to ensure solutions are in alignment with the BI roadmap and user expectations.
- Utilize methods that validate results without extensive redundant storage of data.
- Determine implications of data access methods available on data assets and influence user behavior to ensure successful adoption.
- Align solutions with the company data dictionary and provide additions and modifications as they evolve as part of BI deliverables.

The preferred candidate will have several years of experience with extending SAS BI, Business Objects, Cognos or MicroStrategy with .Net or Java enabled applications. The role will be responsible for development of coded solutions as part of a central BI asset development group. Prior experience should include responsibilities in all aspects of BI development including Stored Processes and Procedures, Reports, OLAP and Web Portal Applications.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 5+ years of relational database experience
- 5+ years experience writing and executing functional specifications
- 2+ years using Mobile Apps on Multiple Device Platforms (IOS, Windows Phone 7, Android)
- 2+ years of experience developing with Java, .Net, and/or WebSphere
- High School diploma/GED
Assets:
- Mobile Front End development
- Mobile Back End development
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Proficiency with MS Visio
- Healthcare Industry experience
- ITIL experience
- HP Service Management experience
- Working with offshore team experience
- Bachelors Degree
