We just met with a Start-Up firm that is aggressively looking to bring new Mobile applications to their Social community and in doing so they have an exciting Mobile Product Manager opportunity available located in New York City. You will work with Business Product Managers to gather business requirements, create mockups, and perform the product development and management to make this happen! This is a break out opportunity for someone who is passionate about Mobile applications to drive the strategy for this Innovative project. You will work with UI Designers, Mobile Developers, Business Users and Virtual teams to collaborate and ensure the highest quality product is brought to market. With the support of the firm's Senior Management, the Mobile Application Product Manager is charged with the evolution of how the firm’s clients access and leverage the valuable data, business intelligence and workflow solutions they provide their clients. Provide valuable insight into the mobile solutions strategy supporting clients across multiple products and business verticals. This includes working with the firm’s business leaders to gather and prioritize market and client requirements, create detailed Functional Specifications, collaborate with development resources, provide quality assurance and guide clients through User Acceptance Testing and roll-out. Ensure that our large web-based applications and advisory services translate appropriately into the mobile world.
Our client would consider candidates out of Mobile Consulting firms, Digital Agencies, Mobile Applications, Social Media and Software Development firms, but would also look at candidates outside other industries as long as they’ve brought a successful Mobile Product through the entire Product Execution Lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Provide Mobile Subject Matter Expertise during strategy discussions
• Work with business groups to providing the functional design translation of current desktop web applications into mobile products driving the strategy and conceptual design of this platform.
• Will understand the web applications capabilities and design Mobile use cases.
• Heavy interaction with business users across all Product groups, performing Business Requirements Gathering and Documentation of Functional Specifications
• Will be responsible for the complete Product Lifecycle Execution including: requirements gathering, specification documentation, quality assurance, training, client rollout and support.
Requirements:
- Requires Product Management and/or Product Development experience creating a Product from Concept through Product Execution
- Requires 4+ years of User Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis and/or Systems Analysis experience with strong documentation of specifications.
- Proven ability to determine the design and transition of a Web based application to Mobile application that is in line with business needs.
- Requires experience working on Mobile Application projects, with Mobile Applications product management experience required having completed at least one successful Full Project Execution Lifecycle.
- Must have the ability and aptitude to learn the business, translate business needs into new mobile products, and perform high-level troubleshooting.
- Full product development life cycle knowledge and experience is required. Should include but not be limited to successful product execution.
- Experience working on whiteboards performing mockups.
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and with ability to collaborate across multiple teams including senior level employees and clients.
- Must be Self-motivated, someone who takes initiative and enjoys the challenge of problem solving.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task is a must.
- Must be able to work independently yet be a strong team player/ leader.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Project.
- Any experience driving the strategy of HTML5 projects would be a plus.
- Proficiency in Illustrator would also be a plus.
