Mobile Developer/ Wireless Developer Job in Aiken, South Carolina Us

Currently, we have an opening in the following area: 

The Mobile Device System Engineer is responsible for the management, administration and maintenance of the Mobile Device Management Software and BES Server. This Engineer will perform execution of work orders, account changes, cancellations, repairs and trouble shooting. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

An Associate or higher degree in applicable science, engineering or related disciplines.

Experience/ Skills:     

·         Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in wireless application development and deployment.               

·         Experience with wireless applications equipment

·         Experience with Mobile Device Management Hardware/Software 

 

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

·         Management of mobile handheld devices, operating platforms, and applications

·         Loading and deployment of mobile device management and BES software.

·         Maintaining databases and users via the Blackberry Enterprise Server; and Mobile Device Management Software; 

·         License Management

·         Implementation of policies and procedures to protect data and prevent unauthorized access to the SRS environment

·         Development and deployment of over-the-air upgrades

·         Development and deployment of pre-configuration policies to minimize the need for hands-on device administration

·         Development of  ways to audit existing systems to identify and deny access to rogue devices

·         Determination of back-office systems that employees want to access; interfacing with developers on testing and deployment

·         Formalizing user types and implementing appropriate policies for users to access applications appropriate to their jobs

·         Loading and deploying mobile devices

·         Communicating outages

·         Assisting DOE Help Desk personnel with device/loading issues

·         Creating management and ad-hoc reports of mobile device use

·         Supporting global travel (assigning global plans, wiping devices after travel to sensitive countries) and tethering

 

Work Hours:    

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. ITS is presently using the 9/80s AA schedule (9 hours/day, five days a week, Monday – Thursday and 8 hours on Friday, followed by a 9 hour/day, 4 day work week, Monday – Thursday, off Friday).  Work week excludes SRNS holidays or an 8 hour day Monday - Friday.  Each work day has a 30-minute, unpaid lunch.

 

This position requires occasional on-call assignment outside of normal working hours.  The employee must remain within a one hour driving distance of the site and remain fit-for-duty during the on-call assignment.  Occasionally, travel to the site during after-hours on-call will be required.  Time spent activity resolving on-call issues will be compensated by a 1-to-1 swap of normal working hours or overtime payment, at the discretion of the manager.  After a two  month training period, employee must be familiar enough with local processes and procedures to take on-call support without assistance.

 

Other Skills

An ideal C3G teammate is bright, self-confident, self-motivated, and results-oriented.  Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years* direct/hands-on experience in their chosen field.  Professional certifications are highly desired as is a formal education from an accredited university in computer science or related area of study.

·         Proven client management experience, including ability to organize and disseminate information efficiently and set expectations

·         Ability to adapt and work effectively in a variety of configurations * independently, as a member of a team, and

·         Ability to multi-task and work with cross-functional teams in a flexible, fast- paced environment

·         Excellent time management skills
