Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Mechanic
Job Summary: EMCOR Services CES has an immediate need for a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (Licensed DC 3rd or MD 1st Class, Non-union position). Multiple skill sets for a myriad of tasks as assigned and defined by each client at needed. Must be able to work independently and be reliable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems in apartments, condos and commercial office buildings. General duties include clearing and repairing mechanical equipment and units, performing renovations on properties, maintaining and general upkeep such as minor building repairs, touch up painting, clearing drainpipes, hanging pictures, minor furniture repair are a few examples. The successful candidate will also respond to emergency calls as needed. Occasionally will be required to submit bids on jobs not suitable for or outside the budget of the project. In these instances, this position will be required to effectively communicate the budget for which management has outlined and manage the contracts and contractors by saving all required receipts and invoices for processing.
Company truck or van with tools will be provided.
Qualifications: Must be able to prioritize efficiently and work in a timely manner. There is never a set schedule so flexibility, particularly at night and on weekends is helpful. Generally, some overtime can be expected. Must be organized, maintain good records of receipts, invoices and tools. Confidential information is sometimes shared such as charge accounts, credit/debit cards therefore this position must have the utmost discretion.
- Possess DC 3rd Class (preferred) or Maryland 1st Class Engineers License
- Must have 3-5 years of work related experience
- Multiple skill set in repairs in residential and commercial environment
- Good working experience with various hand and power tools
