Responsibilities
Overall Job Purpose: The Mobile Product Manager ¿ Commerce Enablers will play a key role in executing the strategy for one or more Mobile Product(s) to ensure optimal product definition, successful development, and maximum penetration of target market segment(s). This individual will gain exposure to all stages of the New Product Development/Go To Market cycle including business model development, ideation/concept assessment, consumer research, product definition, usability/launch testing, and management reporting and ongoing maintenance of Mobile Product materials. The individual in this role will develop and look after product roadmaps and features based on team strategy and vision. The initial vision is to define a world-class `offer-purchase-redeem¿ experience and engage a merchant coalition to enact it. This role is inherently cross-functional and will work closely with a number of support functions within BCUS to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Barclaycard US. 

Key Accountabilities: The person filling this position will be responsible for defining the business model, developing the product roadmap and high-level product requirements for commerce enabling area of our Mobile business and detailing capabilities BCUs will need to be successful in this area. Elements include: -Defining a world-class `offer purchase redeem experience -Developing a merchant coalition including the offer and rewards platform Responsible for working with Business Development and the Strategy and Market Analysis group to identify product opportunities in the marketplace. Then defining the enabling commerce solution set, delivering high-level requirements to the Marketing New Product Development team, signing off on detailed business requirements and product specifications for both new payment products and enhancements to existing payment products within the Mobile business unit. Responsible for Driving Business Direction -Identify and drive the commercial and product management of the Enabling Commerce product suite. -Identify, create and agree robust business plans to drive forward the contribution of target products. -Identify and recommend pricing options to drive optimal business results. -Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure product range fulfils customer needs and provides the appropriate level of income generation in the current environment taking into consideration acquisition and retention. -Lead enhancements to existing product and process design. -Evaluate and plan the introduction of new product solutions. -Recommend and deliver appropriate product design and pricing proposals. -Identify and develop new and existing products to ensure the Enabling Commerce Product Suite supports and drives commercial performance. -Responsible for benefits management emanating from product specific business change. -Lead and work with relevant internal and external suppliers to commission, simplify and improve all product related communications. -As the individual with product responsibility, act as the key point of contact for product related issues

Person Specification: Experience -Retail experience in either enabling increased traffic, improving in-store customer experience, increasing individual purchase amount or driving repeat business / loyalty. -Highly quantitative and consultative selling skills required. -New Product / Program development, new business start-up and product management experience preferred -Leading and improving the customer experience. -Working in a fast-changing challenging environment across various virtual teams in a matrix environment. -Focus in Retail Industry preferred Knowledge -Detailed knowledge of the customer proposition, external customer market, competitor products and propositions available to customers. -Knowledge of Technology and the impact of technical developments. -Knowledge of Commerce and Finance including Profit and Loss Accounting and Value Based Management. -Detailed knowledge of business change disciplines.
