MOBILE INSTRUMENT REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Position Description:

ON-SITE INSTRUMENT REPAIR SPECIALIST

Aesculap currently has an excellent opportunity for an Instrument Repair Specialist in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. Working out of our customized mobile repair lab, you will be a vital resource for the medical industry.

Responsibilities: Accurate and timely repairs of precision surgical instruments. This includes sharpening refurbishing and polishing of hand held surgical instruments as needed. Daily work order entry and maintaining needed reports is necessary for each facility. Maintaining customer relationships and expectations is crucial.

Requirements: We need a motivated self starter who is confident in sales situations. This position deals directly with the operating room and sterile processing personnel and will need to communicate the provided service in a proficient manor. Maintaining a company vehicle will be required.Technical aptitude and experience is highly desired.

Requires a high school diploma. Previous experience with machining or handling of delicate metal instruments is desirable. Requires completion of basic repair training program or equivalent (which Aesculap will provide). Must be able to lift 50 pounds and communicate clearly. Occasional overtime and changes in shift scheduling are required to suit customer needs. Computer knowledge is required.
