Mobile We Developer Job in Lexington 02421, Massachusetts US
Job Summary:
Lead the design, development and maintenance of high-quality mobile applications and web interfaces; on-time that meets and/or exceeds requirements. Have a passion for mobile technology and ability to help bring new technology into a team.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
· Create new mobile applications and interfaces and innovate existing products. Including major iOS and Android devices.
· Design, develop, integrate, deliver and maintain high quality software using the latest technologies and innovations in a timely manner
· Analyze requirements for new products/product enhancements
· Provide timely and accurate estimates for assigned tasks
· Test code and applications before handing over to quality assurance
· Make effective, consistent, and timely use of project management and source code control tools, including clear descriptions of work completed, features added, and problems fixed
· Strong multi-tasking abilities including a “big-picture” understanding of priorities and impacts, and proven experience in juggling and completing tasks
· Provide input to testing team to aid them in thorough testing
· Research new technologies and provide management with
input as to the benefits/downfalls. Function as subject matter expert.
· Diligently share knowledge with others through teaching and/or counseling
· Travel may be required up to 10%
Education and/or Experience:
· At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing mobile and web applications for iOS or Android devices
· At least 5 years developing in web technologies such as JavaScript with use of jQuery libraries and one or more of HTML5 or Ruby
· Graphics Design and Usability experience / background
· Expert knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, CSS for layouts and understanding on how to apply these to address cross browser rendering issues
· Proficiency with J2EE application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
· Proficiency with XML technologies (XDS, XPath, XSLT)
· Working knowledge of relational databases, ANSI SQL
· Experience in an enterprise application development environment
· B.S. or similar degree in Computer Science or related field
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Significant and proven creative problem solving skills
· Ability to work independently and in a team (co-located or dispersed.)
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
