Mobile/Wireless Communications SME
NCI: As a Mobile/Wireless Communications SME, the candidate will Work as a part of a collaborative, multi-disciplined team that supports the U.S. Gov't by providing subject matter expertise in the field of Wireless Communications System Engineering.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
- Convey technical designs, ideas and results to non-technical audiences via briefings to senior personnel.
- Author documents (reports, briefings, etc.) to support customer mission(s).
- Apply the engineering design process to discover innovative methods to solve technical problems and meet customer requirements.
- Utilizes functional area expertise gained through direct industry experience to assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components.
- Works with senior managers and executives to provide industry vision and strategic direction with regard to their enterprise.
- Guides the determination of information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals.
- Generates functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.
- Participates in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.
- Provides guidance and direction to other professionals, acts in a consulting and/or advisory capacity; coordinates resolution of highly complex problems and tasks, possesses ability to meet and operate under deadlines.
Requirements:
- Expert in Mobile and Wireless Communications
- Strong background in Microsoft Systems Engineering
- Advanced knowledge of VMware
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possess excellent analysis and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in small or large groups
- Capable of preparing and presenting briefings
- Experience with Lotus Notes and MS Office including Access.
- BS in Computer Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience (designing IT systems).
- Experience performing Domino Systems Engineering.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience with Blackberry Exchange Service (BES) administration at a subject matter expert level.
- Must be a BlackBerry Certified Server Support Specialist.
