Mobility and Collaboration Architect Job in Glendale 85308, Arizona US
Summary of Position:
The American Automobile Association Insurance Exchange is recruiting a Mobility and Collaboration Architect. This position will report into the Infrastructure Operations group and work with the applications teams to form our future vision and to develop and execute our ongoing plans for mobility and collaboration.
This is a technical position requiring design and deployment experience in the area of current Windows foundational and infrastructure applications. This includes any of the following listed in order of importance; Office Communication Services and SharePoint, Citrix XenApp and Virtual Desktop, Exchange and Email Archive, Active Directory, DFS, and DNS Services, eDiscovery, and Windows File Serving.
In addition, this position is responsible for working with infrastructure telephony and platform teams as well as application teams to optimize user productivity with end-user and data center infrastructure to support desktop mobility. Leadership and consensus building skills are a requirement.
This position has been created to improve user productivity and drive down costs . The candidate must have experience developing and documenting strategies and long-term road maps, complex cost benefit analyses, and detailed deployment plans. The position has been created to not only increase user productivity but also to ensure costs and efforts for migration and deployment do not exceed expectations.
Your team members include telephony, network, platform, and storage architects. Your partners are in the IT Operations department that oversees the engineering and day-to-day operations of the Windows foundational and infrastructure applications. You will also work directly with the applications teams to integrate IT infrastructure knowledge into the mobility and collaboration efforts at the AAA Insurance Exchange.
Required Knowledge, Skills Abilities
- Experience in defining and implementing Distributed Enterprise Component Based Architecture and frameworks to support abstraction
- Proven experience with leading tools and techniques in the domain, applicable to a multi-platform environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine information systems needs and to build the environment to facilitate the development of systems to meet those needs
- Preferred:
- Proven levels of expertise in the use of model based development using UML and other domain-specific modeling tools
- Vendor experience with leading edge products from IBM, Oracle, Sun, Microsoft and other enterprise-class suppliers
- Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 - 10 years Systems development and business experience designing solutions for multiple types of systems, client users and/?or units across an organization
- 5+ years Technical experience in current domain level for design, execution and deployments
