PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Mobility Application Architect is responsible for driving the quality delivery of mobile applications for Enterprise Mobility projects within the market unit throughout the project lifecycle.

The Mobility Application Consultant will report into the Mobility Team Lead role on a project. They will be part of an extended delivery team, which includes Mobility Project Managers, Mobility Technical Architects, Mobility Application Architects, LOB consultants, as well as virtual teams consisting of Mobility Platform Consultants and Developers. 

The Mobility Application Consultant will assist the Mobility Application Architect with the enablement of Client Partners and SSEMs in the market unit with regard to the mobile application service portfolio and mobile applications that company and partners provide. They will also be involved in the enablement of the extended delivery team, customers and partners. They will contribute to enterprise knowledge management through the collection and communication of lessons learned.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

Mobility Application Consultant

• Collaboration with Mobility Application Architect in determining the correct mobile application architecture for each customer project in the market unit. This will include assessing parameters such as device type, number of users, business requirements (may be in conjunction with BTS, BAS and LOB Architects).

• Collaboration with the Project Manager / Team Lead / Mobile Application Architect and extended mobility team including Custom Development and Global Delivery to drive the mobile application architecture through realization to go live and post go live support.

• Collaboration with AGS (and CSA) to ensure that the customer is supported throughout the project lifecycle and beyond the go live period. 

Knowledge Management 

• Collaboration with Mobility Application Architect on delivery ramp-up/enablement of extended mobility team, working in conjunction with regional/global mobility practice teams.

• Contribute to knowledge management and sharing amongst team to promote greater knowledge transparency.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

• Required undergraduate university degree, preferably in information technologies or equivalent training and job experience.

• Enterprise Architecture certification and /or other industry certifications an asset.

• ASAP Methodology Proficiency. 

• 3 to 5 years of SAP NetWeaver / mobile application development experience in project implementations.

• Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, quality and working with onshore / near shore / offshore teams.

WORK EXPERIENCE 

• Strong SAP NetWeaver / mobile technical application integration / development experience with at least 6+ years in the IT industry. 

• Understanding / appreciation of enterprise mobility solutions, ideally with mobility development experience on devices. 

• Proficient understanding of SAP solutions and of the consulting business processes and functions.

• Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.

• Ability to negotiate consensus amongst diverse groups and impact the activities of others not in own reporting structure.

• Conceptual analytical thinking and decision making skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear concise and tactful communication with senior management, clients, peers and team members.
