SUMMARY OF POSITION This role leads Coca-Cola Refreshment's technology strategy and architecture for mobile computing in supply chain, field service, customer and commercial spaces. The scope of this role encompasses all data, voice, video, security and management aspects of mobile computing technology including smartphones, ruggedized devices, and tablets. All employees requiring mobile devices and connectivity, including, Direct Store Delivery, Full Service Vending, Make Ready Centers, and Field Sales are in scope of this role. This position will work with all business units to define requirements and deliver mobile technology solutions to the business. This role requires partnering with The Coca-Cola System and mobile teams at The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) and Bottling Investments Group (BIG) to provide thought leadership and common platform solutions to the system. POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS Assess business needs and available/emerging mobility computing solutions, and provide technical direction, expertise, consulting and mentoring in regards to architecture, configuration, problem resolution, and device selection. Accountable for the configuration, design, and testing compatibility of selected devices with CCR's current and future architectures. Determines impact of architectural changes and impact of application changes in regards to current deployment and configuration. Accountable for the architectural and management of mobile device management systems for devices in scope of this role. Responsibilities will include both Motorola MSP as well as other MDM vendors in the future. Work with the Mobile Technologies team to create long and short-term IT strategies, standards, methods, governance and procedures to support the business approach to line of business mobile computing. Provide leadership across the global organization to standardize solution models and facilitate adoption of global solutions wherever possible. Work with industry leaders to pursue and integrate innovative new technologies in the mobility space to drive productivity, collaboration, and business results in all areas of The Coca-Cola System and our bottling partners. Provide leadership in mobile technologies as well as the overall architecture and application of those technologies. Partner with mobility expertise throughout the system and industry to be a key stakeholder in defining innovation and influencing road maps to meet the company's needs. Partner with mobility development teams, delivery and support teams across the system to ensure the infrastructure and device selection can deliver business application needs. Provide cross functional leadership to internal and external teams (outsource providers, application development, support teams) to assure adherence to architectural and engineering standards. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus PREFERRED: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 8+ years of experience of mobility architecture A strong customer focus Self-motivated, ability to complete objectives with minimal direct supervision Lead efforts to analyze and document business processes Lead technical and functional solution design activities as relates to devices and infrastructure Create infrastructure architecture diagrams and high level future processes Ability to quickly understand and evaluate new technologies Detail oriented and comfortable working in a high-paced, multi project environment Big picture view, and ability to tie loose ends of the project deployment and understand impact of decisions Complete architectural understanding of MDM platforms Extensive experience configuring Windows Mobile and CE devices Experience with deployment and ongoing management of Windows Mobile Devices Experience with the configuration and deployment of Android and iOS devices Experience with the configuration and deployment of mobile printers Strong understanding of emerging technologies and best practices in the areas of mobile Experience in Wireless, Satellite or Cellular technology projects EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Experience leading technical design efforts Experience planning for the future of a technology area Experience in network architecture, VPN, reverse proxy, etc Strong written skills and communications Ability to think strategically and present innovative ideas to solve business problems Experience and ability to design support processes for mobile deployments
