EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you must have:
• Knowledge and current experience in installing and configuring Blackberries, Netbooks, and various other mobile devices.
• Strong knowledge of PC computer hardware, Microsoft, and network operating systems, applications and peripherals.
• Strong experience in setup and maintaining users in our Blackberry Enterprise Server.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, hardware/software support and troubleshooting, Mobile device support such as Blackberry, Active Directory and Printer Support.
• Demonstrated skill in problem solving and troubleshooting computer hardware, software and network connectivity.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
REPORTS TO: Director, Information Technology
DIVISION: MIS
SALARY RANGE: $35K - $45K
JOB SUMMARY
Under general guidance of the Director, Information Technology and Tier 3, provide support for our growing company and growing base of mobile employees. This position will be responsible to research and recommend mobility device options for the company as this market matures. In addition, this position will cover all aspects of the management of our mobile devices including purchasing, inventory management and end user device support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing technical support for our mobile users, including hardware/software configuration and maintenance, network connectivity and troubleshooting.
• Research, test and recommend mobility options to enhance our strategy.
• Process user requests in a timely fashion. Obtain all relevant information and details from the user, document and analyze all problems and resolve/escalate tickets accordingly.
• Follow up escalated ticket(s) and update status accordingly.
• Prepare and maintains detailed operating instructions, how-to applications, operating procedures and associated documentation surrounding our mobile device infrastructure.
• Investigate and research new devices to support our IT strategy.
• Assist in coordination and implementation of user hardware and software upgrades.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work a busy environment, with frequent interruptions, while prioritizing and resolving user requests.
• Availability for occasional off-hours or weekend tasks.
• Willingness and ability to learn new operating systems or application software packages.
• Industry certification such as A+.
• Self starter and willingness to acquire knowledge on own time.
• Excellent problem solving/analytical skills.
