Modelling Consultant/Senior Consultant – Valuations and Business Modelling

We are looking for a Business Modelling Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Sydney team. As a Modelling professional at Ernst Young, you'll help global organisations make strategic decisions by providing responsive, objective advice on the values of businesses, shares and assets, and providing business modelling expertise.
You'll work closely with our clients to build and review complex financial models across a range of industries providing guidance and support to clients who need to make financial, commercial or reporting decisions.
You'll be responsible for the following as you provide exceptional service to your clients:
- Designing and building intermediate/complex financial models under supervision or on secondment
- Review Excel models under supervision and arrive at preliminary conclusions
- Develop a strong understanding of Excel and auditing tools and other software packages
- Produce written file notes, letters, presentations or reports and present conclusions to the Partner
We're looking for:
- Advanced Excel skills, ideally with resonable experience in financial modelling
- Demonstrable experience in developing solutions to support performance analysis or decision making e.g. transactions, scenario analysis, business case development, budgeting, forecasting or consolidation
- Familiarity with the formal review of financial models and professional services experience would be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build internal and external networks
- The ability to self-manage and work effectively under pressure while ensuring regular communication of progress against plan
- Strong numerical/analytical ability and a sound grasp of financial accounting, possibly with a CA or equivalent qualification.
