Position Title: Modular Analyst
Reports To: Team Lead - Category Leadership
Location: Bentonville, AR
Purpose of Role: The Modular Analyst will support the Category Advisors to deliver best in class Category Management Process with Walmart/Sam's. This is also a developmental position that could eventually lead to a Category Advisor position on the team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Modular generation and analysis
· Ad hoc project work as directed by the Category Advisors
· Participate in managing our database operations
· Work multi-functionally with Walmart and Mars to build relationships to drive our mutual business
· Become an expert in all software and data sources that are used in the Category Management Process to contribute to the business short term and set you up long term to assume a role of higher responsibility.
Key Functional Skills
· Strong Walmart Retail Link skills
· Strong MS Excel skills to include pivot tables and data analysis
· Working knowledge of MS Access
· Working knowledge of JDA Space Planning Tool
· Strong MS Power Point presentation building skills
· Understanding retail concepts such as shelf merchandising, promotions, pricing, and introduction of new products
· Be flexible in working with multiple Category Advisors on different Petcare Categories
· Be available and able to work in Walmart's layout center and or Mars layout center to build modulars for buyer reviews. This would include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Available to travel on a flexible schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
· Previous experience working directly with Walmart
· 2-3 yrs experience in an analytical position that required gathering information from multiple sources to support the data based decision making process
· Experience working with a Walmart Supplier
· 4 year college degree
Preferred Qualifications
· Involved in the Walmart Modular Process a plus
· Involved in the Category Management Process a plus
