Tigerpoly Manufacturing, Inc. is a Tier 1 supplier of high quality injection and blow-molding plastic and rubber components for the automotive industry.  Located 9 miles outside of Columbus, Ohio, we are seeking a career- focused professional for the following area:

 

New Model Engineering

 

Responsibilities:

 

·        Responsible for the start-up and processing of new molds for Injection Molding, Blow Molding and Rubber Molding.  Experience in one of the three disciplines is required, training will be provided for other inexperienced areas as needed.

·        Inspect and prepare new molds for first run activities. 

·        Assist / train Mold Technicians with the installation of new molds and establish the most efficient set-ups and methods.

·        Process and define mold process parameters from mold receipt until N+3 production timing to meet customer product specifications.  Set initial parameters, conduct process capability studies and create machine/process set-up sheets for production and quality use.

·        Execute mold trials at the direction of the Project Engineer, submit trial request documentation and hold planning meetings to summarize goals and finalize the purpose of the trials.

·        Participate in part and tooling design review activities with other engineers and vendors; suggesting changes for manufacturability and cost improvements.

·        Analyze product trial dimensional and other quality concerns to determine the root cause and create countermeasures to problems, including quality approval of molding results.

·        Train Production Associates on the operation of new molds from receipt to N+3 production timing.

·        Support engineers responsible for the design, build and programming of the part pick and place devices used in the molding process.

 

Requirements:

 

·        B.S. or Associate Degree in Engineering, or a Technical School Certificate preferred.

·        Minimum of 3 years of Blow-Molding, Injection Molding or Rubber Molding experience.

·        Troubleshooting/problem solving skills. 

·        Analysis of CMM measurement data in relation to tooling.

·        Working knowledge of MS Office programs.  (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·        Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and schematics preferred.

·        Understanding Decoupling Molding Theory preferred, but not required.

·        Working knowledge of OSHA regulations (machine guarding, accident investigation, etc.) preferred.
