Description ****THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION. 3:00PM-11:30pm**** SUMMARY: Under moderate supervision troubleshoot and resolve complex production problems with all molded products. Make adjustments to machinery and auxiliary equipment to eliminate flaws. Indentifies product defects, compiles data on all processing parameters, and directs the training of new employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Adherence to established safety policies, procedures and practices Supports the organization ??s efforts toward continuous improvement Supports the organization ??s goals and values Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service Troubleshoot any molding problems that may arise(i.e. quality, excessive scrap rate and defective parts). Responsible for all start-ups, set-ups of the vision system, auto spray and making sure the proper paperwork is circulated. Perform daily checks to ensure correct cycle on all machines. Responsible for process improvements and optimization. Responsible for making tooling recommendations. Responsible for material trials. Maintain all processing documentation daily. Assist with and perform color changes as needed. Assist with mold setups if needed. Generate reports on all assignments attended that day. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic knowledge of material descriptions, molding operations including mold set-ups and blending machines, water hook-ups and hydraulic operations and modern injection molding machines. Must have 3+ years of experience in processing injection molding machines as well as setup documentation and verification procedures. Very good knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical operations. Excellent writing and verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be a dependable self starter. Excellent knowledge of plant and machine safety. Must have excellent math skills and the ability to work with measurements and ratios. Must be able to work independently with moderate supervision. Must have the ability to maintain accurate and organized production processing records. Must have the ability to complete assignments within time frame specified by the Production Supervisor. Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels. Must be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advance notice. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must be familiar with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
