Position Description:
We are looking for an individual with an interest in user experience and data visualization to join the RiskViewer User Interface Team in Hong Kong. The team is a part of the Equity Risk Systems Group, which is tasked with providing real-time risk and PL data to more than 500 equity derivatives traders globally. The global team is currently split evenly with developers in London, New York and Hong Kong to cover the main trading regions, and provide 24x5 support, with team leadership in New York.
We work closely with the regional trading desks and require an individual with good communication skills, strong understanding of UI principles, and know-how on developing scalable, innovative UI solutions to handle millions of data points .
As a member of the team, the candidate will
- Estimate, Design, and implement solutions to development tasks assigned for the project
- Focus on strong user interfaces built using WPF
- Adhere to best development practices (e.g. leveraging Dependency Injection and Test Cases)
- Assist other team members with support backup
- Help the rest of the team design new features that adhere to the style of the existing system.
Although a dedicated support group provides the bulk of day to day support, the candidate will be expected to provide 3rd level support to the regional traders.
Skills Required:
C#/WPF/WinForms (not ASP.NET) in an application development role.
WPF/WinForms experience
Familiarity with Agile Testing Patterns, Practices and xUnit Frameworks
Experience developing scalable Data Visualization solutions
Awareness of Enterprise Development Design Patterns
Good communication skills
Skills Desired:
Experience with Infragistics NetAdventage (WPF/WinForms)
Awareness of UI Ergonomics, Aesthetics, and UX Design Patterns
Understanding of Equity Derivatives and other Financial products Java or C++ SQL/Relational Databases
Knowledge of Java, C++ and Perl
SQL/Relational Databases

Interest in mobile development
