Position Description:
Senior Delivery Manager/Team Lead required to manage the development team and take responsibility for projects within the OTC Confirmation department. The OTC Confirmation team is a multidisciplinary, global application development team. Our suite of applications comprises the firm?s OTC confirmation and MIS reporting platform for all OTC Derivative asset classes, as well as for FX cash trades. We also support the Dodd-Frank compliant regulatory reporting application for all OTC Derivative assets.

The successful candidate requires a strong technical or business analysis background as well as excellent leadership, communication and project management skills. The candidate should have hands-on technical lead and delivery management experience. Experiences in a financial environment is big plus.

The primary aspects of the role are:
Leading a local team of 10 developers.
Project management of projects delivered either solely by the local team or by the local team in partnership with teams in other regions.
Business / technical analysis on OTC related projects.
Interaction with project stakeholders, end users and other IT teams within the firm.

Skills Required:
Undergraduate degree or above in a scientific/ mathematical/ engineering/ computer science subject
10+ yrs of experience in technology related projects
Proven experience leading development teams with 10+ developers, delivering significant technology projects in a business-facing role.
Have good communication skills, and be able to explain complex IT problems in simple, businesslike terminology for ease of user understanding
Comfortable with direct interaction with the business users and managements at all levels
Good understanding of project delivery and SDLC
Experience of iterative / agile development practices.
Exposure to working in a global delivery team.
Sound understanding of Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming in Java, familiarity with Design Patterns.
Good understanding of data warehouse and reporting/MIS database concepts; relational databases (schema design, SQL queries, Sybase/DB2) and XML
Fluent written and verbal English
Ability to relocate to Shanghai, China (if not already living there)

Skills Desired:
Familiarity with MQ, .Net/C#, DB2, Hibernate, Spring, Web Services
Experiences in business intelligence applications
Have good understanding of derivative products and STP cycle.
Familiarity with derivatives confirmation areas.
