GENERAL SUMMARY:
Has overall responsibility for managing assigned branch and new business development in service area. Develops new mortgage business for the mortgage department by contacting realtors and other business contacts. Recruits, trains, and supervises Mortgage Bankers. Participates in planning and budget process for branch goals.

MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. MANAGEMENT OF MORTGAGE BANKER:
Coordinates and supervises all mortgage origination activities for the branch office. Develops strategic plan for growth and profitability of branch. Participates in overall planning and budgeting process. Responsible for profitability of branch which includes operating within the fiscal budget parameters.

2. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
Develops and maintains relationships with realtors and other business contacts on an on-going basis utilizing various sales and marketing techniques. Maintains contact with internal sources for referral business.

3. CLIENT SERVICE:
Oversees standard of client service delivered by Mortgage Bankers. Ensures that high standard of service and communication is maintained. Promotes the prompt and efficient handling of all requests from borrowers, builders, or realtors.

4. SALES MANAGEMENT:
Responsible for recruiting and motivating Mortgage Bankers. Conducts sales meetings and develops marketing tools and strategies. Reviews and monitors loan production pipelines. Establishes and meets production goals. Promotes the sale of additional Bank products whenever possible.

5. SUPERVISION OF EMPLOYEES:
Provide routine coaching, training and assistance for direct reports to develop knowledge, skills and abilities to maximize performance and potential. Document performance and complete performance review forms in a timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Position requires 5 years of loan origination experience with a demonstrated record of success. Thorough knowledge of mortgage industry as it pertains to developing relationships with realtors and/or builders is required. Managerial experience preferred. Strong sales ability needed.

2. Ability to communicate and negotiate complex information from diverse sources is required. Ability to make effective presentations of proposals and recommendations before senior management and management committees required.

3. Responsible for overall management and direction for a specific function. Supervises employees involving decisions for staffing and compensation. Engages in strategic planning in conjunction with unit management.

4. Plans and performs work which involves new or constantly changing problems requiring creativity and ingenuity. Good judgment required to deal with factors not easily evaluated.

SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires reasonable mobility in and around work area and the ability to operate standard office equipment, personal computer systems, and telephone systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Normal office environment where there is almost no discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements.

2. Work includes little or no potential exposure to hazardous conditions.

3. Must be able to travel to remote company and/or client locations.
