Mortgage Closing Operations – Team Lead recruitment

The incumbent will be a strong individual contributor expected to maintain a large pipeline of accounts/loans while possessing strong technical and industry knowledge that will enable the individual to be a 'go to' person or resource within the department for loan specific issues and problem resolution. Individual will work closely with Unit Manager in the coordination of daily operational activities and workflow within the mortgage operations department. In addition to maintaining individual accounts, responsibilities will also include coordination and oversight of loan modification work flow, records management, mortgage vault activities and related vendor management responsibilities associated with all closing/post closing functions. This position supports the timely response to and resolution of loan level client inquiries and problems. The incumbent will participate in various functions, including but not limited to: staff training, input (to Unit Manager) for performance development and performance evaluation, procedure development and review and risk identification/mitigation. Will assist Unit Manager in implementing effective workflows and controls, identifying process efficiencies, implementing new mortgage regulations and establishing and maintaining relationships within the business line and across multiple business lines to satisfy client requests and research and resolve potential issues.

Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of 5 -7 years related experience in mortgage industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Strong organizational skills. Proven history of overseeing all aspects of individual mortgage closings on a national basis. Post closing mortgage file review experience required.
