Permanent role.
Salary: 30K – 40K
Location: Dublin
A dynamic new Irish company are looking to hire a Mortgage Underwriter. The successful candidate will have working experience with a variety of retail products along with proving the can add to an already successful team.
Responsibilities:
- Underwrite restructuring applications ensuring to following guidelines and focusing and minimizing arrears and bad debt reduction.
- Maximize return on investment allowing for business and customers long term needs by restructuring deals in compliance with the Mortgage code of conduct.
- Manage the flow of restructure proposals [INVALID-WORD]ntly, in accordance with keeping the highest service levels to the customers.
- Uphold existing relationships of the company along with creating new ones with possible clients ensuring that the companies highest standards are upheld at all times.
- Prepare and present restructure proposals to the Credit Committee to ensure a smooth decision is made.
- Work to and comply with the Collections and Credit policy’s set in place by the company.
- Acknowledge and deal with any direct complaints that you may receive from customers.
- Give assistance to the Collections team and Senior Manager of Debt Restructure in all aspects of team management and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Strong retail product background with excellent underwriting capabilities.
- Solid attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Advanced level of report writing and Financial Analysis skills.
- Excellent presentation skills and a strong communicator.
- Must have the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and have strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work confidently within a team environment.
- Advance understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong understand and previous experience of working with credit assessments in the Irish market.
- Ability to speak out and have your recommendations heard by senior management.
- Background in Relationship Management would be a distinct advantage.
