Mortgage Underwriter Job in Agawam, Massachusetts US
Omega Mortgage a Division of Lowell Bank is growing and we have a need for an experienced Underwriter in our Agawam, MA Office.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• 3-5 yrs experience as a mortgage underwriter
• Experience and complete knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional lending guidelines
• Experience with DU, LP, DO
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with applicable computer software
• Attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline based production environment
• Strong analytical and decision making skills
• Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities will include: Reviewing financial statements, credit reports, ratios, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions, following all consumer lending regulations and credit policies ensuring all loans are within company standards, providing quality control reducing liability risks with non-saleable loans, maintaining good interoffice communication with our processors and over 70 loan officers, and managing the daily flow of underwriting files and meeting turn times while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Hands on experience with DU, LP and DO and experience with FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional loan underwriting guidelines is a plus. Prefer minimum of 3-5 years of mortgage underwriting experience.
