Kerrville Bus Company is seeking Motorcoach Operators for our scheduled services. The chosen individual will be based in Houston, Texas.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A motorcoach operator safely operates a motorcoach while adhering to specified routes and schedules, as well as all federal, state, and local traffic laws, and Coach Americas’ policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
· Work independently, with minimal direct supervision
· Perform a pre- and post-trip inspection of the coach
· Safely operate, and keep coach on schedule
· Collect passenger tickets and cash fares
· Assist passengers boarding and exiting from coach
· Make regular verbal announcements to inform passengers on: company policies, rest stops, safety and comfort information
· Interact and respond to passenger requests and situations in a friendly, professional and courteous manner
· Watch over and/or load, unload baggage/luggage, and/or freight
· Maintain records of time worked, miles traveled fares collected
· Remain current on all division operated connecting fixed route schedules
· Responsible for evacuating and managing all passengers off the coach in case of an emergency
· Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or GED, or one to three years of equivalent experience/training
· 21 years of age or older
· Minimum Class B CDL
· Acceptable driving record meeting Coach America standards, verified through a current MVR
· Able to pass a criminal background check
· Able to pass a Department of Transportation level physical and drug test
