Obtains medical history and compares requisitions to provider's order to ensure exam accuracy. Prepares and administers contrast under the direction of the Radiologist. Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors. Provides magnet protection in accordance with regulatory agencies. Post-processes images as directed by the radiologist. Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments. General Qualifications Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist through the ARRT. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through two or more years of experience as an MRI technologist. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification granted by the American Heart Association. Proficient in IV and venipuncture. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Intermediate computer skills. Desired Qualifications Certification in MRI. Experience on a 3T magnet. Experience with an electronic medical record.
