MS Sharepoint Architect – Global energy firm, Baden, Switzerland recruitment

Core Job Responsibilities:

1. Very deep knowledge of SharePoint technologies (MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2010, custom

development with SP, deployment, OOB features, customization, performance, etc.). Should

be able to do development as when required with it

2. Delivery of complex solutions to issues which might include but are not limited to:

o Architecture

o Configuration

o Security

o Performance

o Scalability

o Reliability

o Infrastructure

3. Recommends how specific technologies, standards, methods and techniques are to be used

4. Designs and implements larger research and proof of concept projects as an individual

contributor, focusing on one or a small number of technologies or applications to be

implemented into a larger platform

5. Makes technical presentations and submits written reports for publication to internal and

external stakeholders.

6. Accountable for maintaining a high degree of solution architecture and design capability with

deep technical skills in one or more of the streams mentioned in the Areas of Expertise Section

below.

7. Understand customer environment and define business requirements with engagement and

practice managers

8. Develop architectural/functional design document based on existing examples or new

requirements

9. Map product solution and technical information to customer’s context; Conduct informal risk

analysis

10. Understanding the relevant application development, infrastructure and operations

implications of the designed/developed solution

11. Deliver engagements as an individual contributor, technical subject matter expert or as a team

member on small projects

Qualifications:

1. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills required.

2. Build knowledge base and gather best practices on technology, products, business

processes, and the industry

3. Highly proficient solid Customer facing Project experience involving technical consulting,

solution design, project envisioning, planning, development and deployment

4. Sound analysis, problem resolution, team building, judgment and decision making skills

required.

5. High-level programming experience in a .NET environment, including a thorough understanding

of application architectures.

6. Understanding of network design principles.

7. Strong work ethic and a desire to help drive a successful architectural vision across the

Entertainment and Devices Division.

8. Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and new techniques.

9. 9+ years experience with various Microsoft development tools and technologies (Visual Studio,

.Net, C#, SharePoint (2007, 2010), IIS).

10. Some SQL Server development experience preferred including SQL Integration Services.

11. 2+ years of WCF development experience.

12. 2+ years of experience developing using the Microsoft Office platform.

13. Knowledge and understanding of BizTalk Server preferred.

14. Some knowledge of industry data integration standards preferred

15. 5+ years experience of functional knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle Methodology

(SDLC).

16. Proven leadership experience either leading or managing development teams with at least 4

people.

17. Experience working in a cross-group collaborative environment (i.e. off-shore development and

test teams).

18. Ability to travel internationally and/or domestically up to 10% annually.

Education:

BS/BE/MS degree in Computer Science
