MS SQL DBA: Business Objects, MS SQL, Trading: London: Salary £40,000-£55,000.00 + Bonus + Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
Part of a growing IT team you will be working with Project Manager, IT Development Manager, Business Analysts, Java Developers, End Users, System Level DBAs, System Admins and QA teams when needed. Take shared responsibility for all non-MIT MS SQL Server and Business Objects support, development and administrative work in relation to:
• Equity TQ LENS Smart Order Router (Selero/ Enodia)
• Equity Surveillance (Themis/Progress Apama)
• Equity and Derivatives MIS Billing (Business Objects SQL Server)
• Equity Sales and Market Operations Dashboards (.net)

Experienced Essential:
• Experienced in application level MS SQL support and development (T-SQL, SSIS) with at last 2-3 years experience of MS SQL Server in context of Equities ( and ideally also Derivatives) trading.
• 6+ months experience of SAP Business Objects R3 or a similar BI reporting system.
• Experience of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support of MS SQL Server and Business Objects solutions and services.
• Agile.

Ideal Experience:
• Advanced SQL Server Admin – Security admin, SQL Server performance tuning, SQL Server replication, SQL Server clustering, experience with SAN and working with networking windows.

• SVN
• Linux
• SFTP
• Detailed understanding of equity (and ideally also derivatives) trading systems functionally (could be either from the perspective of an exchange/ MTF or a broker, ideally both and could come from working within a firm or a vendor supplying a firm) including FIX order floe, exchange access etc.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding equities trading; MiFid etc
