MSCI – Index Sales, Japan (Tokyo) recruitment

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Responsible for Index Sales and Business Development in Japan.

• Proactively develop solutions and opportunities for target market participants, consummating deals and growing revenues primarily through licensing proprietary indexes.

• Perform strategic and financial analysis to evaluate risks and balance them against profit potential, size of the opportunity, and resource requirements.

• Introduce new offerings and develop strategies to maximize penetration of products across a variety of client applications. 

• Integrate market intelligence and client feedback with the development process and product strategies for growing and penetrating new and existing markets.

• Maintain strong relationships with industry participants, current and prospective clients, and manage partnerships.  

• Focus on asset owners for benchmark mandate wins and work with asset managers, pension funds, broker dealers, and exchanges in the region for index sales relationship customization and product creation (ETFs, derivatives, and futures)

 DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A recognized tertiary degree in quantitative finance, MBA/CFA is a plus.

• At least 5 years or more Sales and Business Development experience in capital or derivatives markets or related, and a solid understanding of financial markets and related industries.

• Strong management skills, negotiating skills, and experience selling investment products.

• Superior Japanese and English communication and presentation skills are essential.

• Detailed and process oriented.
