Specific Job Description Candidate will serve as the Human Resources site lead for this 900+ employee operation comprised of 300 salaried exempt and nonexempt employees and 600+ UAW union represented employees. Position is responsible for managing and coordinating all HR functions and services for the Ocala, Fl location. The position requires a strategic thinker to serve as a partner in the business supporting the General Manager and staff and reports directly to MFC HR leadership. Candidate will lead HR initiatives and programs and will be responsible for assessing the needs of the business and designing strategies and solutions and/or obtaining resources to address needs. The successful candidate will be expected to excel at building rapport and effective relationships with site leadership, union leadership, employees, team members, customers and other HR professionals within and outside of Lockheed Martin. This person will at times be required to interface and work with local community agencies, schools, and dignitaries. Position will manage a staff of 3 HR professionals and 1 support person. Candidate will be responsible for setting direction and managing the daily activities of the HR staff. Person will be required to coordinate with HR functional support staffs at other MFC locations. Candidate will have a combination of HR Generalist responsibilities and labor relation responsibilities. The candidate will collaboratively work with union officials to oversee the administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Also they will be responsible for establishing the Labor Relations strategy and guiding others on grievance management. They will be required to process grievances at the 4th step of the grievance process and conduct investigations as warranted. Candidate must possess good investigative, analysis, and critical thinking skills. They should have understanding of functional HR processes, practices and legal and regulatory legislation. Candidate will facilatate HR processes like Performance and Talent Management activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
