Multi-Disciplined Engineer II

The operations engineering team is responsible for performance trending on system hardware, custom software maintenance, and 24/7 crisis response for Double-Eagle Denver. This team also support software development/test, and performs engineering activities to deploy new or evolved system capabilities. Team members develop and test standardized engineering procedures and products used to place hardware in a known state and recover hardware to operations after a problem occurs which takes the system offline. Team members are in regular contact with local customers, therefore, strong briefing and communication skills are essential. Team members act as site technical liaison with factory counterparts, to include: system engineering, principal engineers, and mission operations experts. This position requires members to carry a pager on a rotational basis and team members are periodically subject to recall during off-hours, weekends, and holidays. Shift work and extended work weeks will occasionally be required.

Required Skills: Must have a minimum of two years of related experience and a BS degree.

  • Functional knowledge of structured programming
  • UNIX proficiency
  • Strong presentation/communication skills

    Desired Skills:

    • MS in Aerospace Engineering strongly desired
    • Perl scripting
    • C++

    Required Education (including Major):

    • BS in Aerospace Engineering

    Desired Education:

    • MS is Aerospace Engineering strongly desired
