Our client is a long established engineering company providing specialist products and engineering solutions to a worldwide client base from industries including Oil Gas and Aerospace. Due to further development, an opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Newcastle.
This is the ideal role for a time served Maintenance Technician with Mechanical and Electrical experience, looking to develop their career with a successful company.
As a Maintenance Technician with this company, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment and carrying out upgrades and improvements in accordance with company and legal requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Reactive Maintenance, Electrical and Mechanical.
- Planned Maintenance, Plant Improvements and Installations
- Minimise plant down-time in the event of breakdowns
- Ensuring all relevant replacement parts and stock are maintained.
To be considered for the role of Maintenance Engineer, you must have experience:
- in a mechanical machinery maintenance role.
- with electrical maintenance and have 17th Edition qualification.
- of PLC controlled machinery, CNC machines and hydraulic equipment
- in a Machine Shop or similar Medium / Heavy Industry
Although not essential, experience with fork lifts / cherry picker vehicles and appropriate certification would be a distinct advantage to your application.
