The State Journal-Register is seeking to fill the following advertising positions
with enthusiastic, goal oriented and result driving individuals.
OUTBOUND TELESALES MEDIA REPRESENTATIVE - PT
Representatives are being sought to conduct outbound cold calls, prospecting
potential customers for our print/digital products and services.
Responsibilities will include calls from sales leads including old, new and stale
customers. Flexible scheduling working 30+ hours per week.
Qualified candidates should be a quick learner and have the aptitude and abili-
ty to become knowledgeable of all our advertising print and digital products.
Training will consist of on-the-job, which includes phone etiquette, sales lead
and prospecting, beginning to advance sales techniques and how to approach
and deal with customers. Excellent oral and written communication as well as
listening skill sets are required. High school diploma or GED equivalent
required.
ADVERTISING INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Sales Rep needed to assist inbound caller with ad placement, wording and
design. Position responsibilities will include making outbound calls to drive
revenue and classified lineage. Provide outstanding customer service, while
building future working relationships.
Requirements include: excellent customer service and interpersonal skills,
good keyboarding skills 40-45 wpm, strong grammar/spelling skills and work-
ing knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Candidates must have high
school diploma or equivalent. Previous sales experience preferred. This is an
hourly paid position with great incentives for that result-oriented individual.
PUBLICATIONS CLERK - OBITUARIES - PT WEEKENDS
Publications Clerk will assist with organizing and writing obituaries submitted
by funeral homes and families. Detail oriented desired to ensure accuracy in
information presented and published. Hours are Saturdays and Sundays from
3:00 - 7:00 p.m.
A qualified candidate will have a high school diploma or GED. Previous sales
or customer services experience in interacting with customers, preferably two
years minimum. Applicant must be able to keyboard a minimum of 40 wpm
and have strong spelling and grammar skills, and excellent phone etiquette.
