Multithreaded C++ Developer recruitment
Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Multithreaded C++ Developer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a $19 billion strong automated Hedge fund with performance figures of 28%.
The successful C++ candidate will be part of an exceptional group of coders working on large scale storage and retrieval solutions, advanced order management and execution algorithms. They will mainly work on large scale optimization and simulations. This allows researchers to analyse market data patterns and locate patterns.
You will work closely with researchers from both equities and futures teams debugging, improving and implementing infrastructure and research functionality, working on large and complex C++ programming issues.
The client offers a bonus to all employees as a result of the fund’s performance from day 1.
The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.
Applicants should possess strong C++ software engineering skills, a logical approach to problem solving and be able to prioritise work under pressure.
Candidates MUST have:
- An PhD or Masters in computer Science from top UK University
- Excellent understanding of programming
- Strong Multithreading in C++
- C/C++ programming ability, including knowledge of STL as well as an appreciation of hardware, operating system, concurrency and performance considerations.
- Evidence of independent work (PhD/project experience), a desire to collaborate and to take the initiative to improve software products or C++ coding
- A strong and confident communicator.
- Be comfortable working with other developers as well as statisticians and physicists from other research teams.
This role is for candidates who have a deep understanding of code not just the ability to read the language, expectations are high so if you are not a serious developer, don’t waste your time.
