Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house with strong Asia-Pacific foundations covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. The group uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
Macquarie Securities Asia Cash business operates globally, with one of the largest sales, sales trading, equities research and corporate broking teams dedicated to the Asia-Pacific region, with almost 500 staff.
Macquarie has one of the largest research teams in the Asia Pacific region and has a significant presence in the UK, North America and South Africa, offering an extensive range of research products. Our research effort covers all the major financial markets, extending across Australian, New Zealand, Asian, South African, European, Canadian and United States' stocks, commodities, strategy and economics.
The MSG Cash business now has an opportunity for a Banking Sector Research Associate to join the team in Mumbai.
As a member of a highly rated team, you will be involved in:
- generating reports that assist in our clients' investment decisions;
- providing market analysis and financial modelling support to the team;
- managing database information;
- assisting with client presentations and briefings; and
- helping to build our client base and revenue over time.
To be successful in this role you will:
- have tertiary qualifications in a finance, accounting or quantitative discipline;
- be highly numerate with exceptional financial analysis and modelling skills;
- possess strong sales and marketing capabilities;
- be able to build good relationships and enjoy communicating at all levels with sales teams and clients;
- currently be working in an equity research capacity or come from a consulting, credit rating agency, accounting, economics or relevant industry background;
- be fluent in spoken and written English;
- have strong attention to detail and organisational skills;
- have high literacy and numeracy skills;
- be able to communicate and work well in a team structure;
- have the ability to work flexible hours; and
- possess strong computer skills.
