Murex Business Analyst – Support recruitment

The candidate for this position will be part of the support team.  The candidate's responsibilities will include systems analysis, trouble resolution, problem solving, and communication with end users.  The candidate should strive to become a Murex expert, and have a keen desire to learn about the Equity Derivatives and FX Options business.

The team supports users from all groups, including Front Office, Middle Office, and Operations.  Users are global, and on-call rotation has been implemented in the team the present resourcing levels it would be a requirement for this candidate to be on call approximately 1 out of 6 weeks.

Besides going on call for problems related to the system there is also a requirement to perform releases during the weekends and off business hours during the week.

This position requires a mix of business specific knowledge and technical experience.  The candidate should have business knowledge of financial instruments and experience in the support of trading and/or risk management applications.  Expertise in Unix is a must-have for the position.  The candidate needs to be well versed in Unix (Solaris) in order to fulfill the application support role.
