Murex Developer – City
One of the industries strongest Banking brands are currently looking to hire permanent Murex Developers. You will have extensive experience of Murex (3.1), developing, supporting etc.
The Murex development team undertakes and supports enhancement across a wide range of project, regulatory and run-the-bank change initiatives covering a diverse change portfolio which is centered around the Murex 2.11 and Murex 3.1 platforms. The task as a team and that of this role is quite simple; to ensure that Murex remains the leanest and most capable front-to-back platform available to the commercial businesses, allowing them to evolve and grow for the benefit of the Bank and of our customers. Murex is used to trade most asset classes, including equity derivatives, commodities, FX Cash and FX Options products. The bank has recently implemented Murex 3.1, and they now seek a developer to complement the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing technology area.
Responsibilities
*Be an active developer resource on projects involving Murex 3.1 and 2.11
*Maintenance of Murex infrastructure - troubleshooting environment problems and reviewing performance issues.
*Analysis configuration testing and maintenance of interfaces using Murex tools and Java.
*Workflow analysis and development (configuration templates, swift confirmation templates etc.)
*Assist programme team in the implementation of new FX and other products
*Configuration and maintenance of external interfaces and Murex 3.1
*Support, modification and maintenance of overnight batch processes to ensure effective and timely output of key business deliverables.
Skills
*5+ years Murex experience front to back (Murex 3.1 required, MXG2000 advantageous)
*Previous team lead experience advantageous
*UNIX/SQL/PERL
*Good business knowledge across a number of asset classes; Equity Derivatives, Commodities, FX Options, FX Cash products
*JAVA development skills
*Datamart
*MxML exchange
*MDCS real time processing
*Batch processing
*OSP
*Excellent 'customer oriented' interpersonal skills to respond quickly, politely and effectively to users
*Ability to assist with daily 2nd line support tasks, alongside larger enhancements
*Strong team player with the ability to propose and share ideas, suggest improvements and create a positively charged team climate.
