Our Capital Markets Consulting team has an opportunity for a Murex Technical Analyst to join our solutions practice that focuses on strategic and tactical solutions for our global capital markets client base across the front, middle and back office. Murex Technical Analyst with hands-on experience working with Murex 3.1. Candidate should have worked on an end-to-end Murex technical implementation as a development team member and have been involved in various technical aspects of Murex. The candidate should also have exposure to Murex in a production environment including performance related aspects of Murex. A good understanding of derivatives and limit management for controlling credit, market and operational risks Understand technical requirements underpinning Murex deployment Architect, implement, integrate and/or upgrade Murex applications Design operating and testing models to accommodate Murex Mastery of Murex from a technical environment perspective Ensure complete production integrity and accommodate continually changing environments Understand how Murex interfaces with other up/downstream application data providers; mastery of MxML, real-time interfaces Improve business and technical functionality through performance tuning Experience with the following Murex areas: Murex Technical Architecture Murex Processing Script Definition Murex Global Operating Model (GOM) Datamarts and Reporting MXML workflow Real Time and the Market Data Cache Murex Limits Controller (MLC) Experience with the following technical skills: Operating System Administration: UNIX, Linux or Windows administration skills Scripting Skills: Perl, Unix Shell scripting or windows batch scripting. Programming Skills: Java, C++, C# or VBA programming skills Database Skills: SQL, Sybase Qualitative Attributes Ability to take ownership and personal responsibility over work Intellectual curiosity with an innovative approach to solving problems Team players with management skills and the ability to lead others Educational Requirements Minimum of BS/BA Degree or technical degree Masters or MBA a plus Generic Description: Essential Job Functions Uses deliverables from vision and strategy phase to develop conceptual technical models (Technical). Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Seven or more years of consulting experience with technical architecture strategy and design Experience working with CSC Catalyst and/or equivalent client or vendor-mandated methodology Experience working with capacity planning concepts for systems of all sizes and complexities Experience working with technical trends to assess the future direction of technology Other Qualifications Five to eight years of additional relevant experience in two or more technical specialty areas Strong skills in one or more of the following: vision and strategy (VS), business area architecture (BAA), iterative custom development (ICD), package-based development (PBD), and accelerated application development (X/AD) Strong communication skills Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and CSC Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and the company Ability to adjust personal style to different situations Willingness to travel CSC Computer Sciences Corporation Relocation Assistance: Not Available
