We are currently seeking an Intermediary Oversight Services Associate to join our Mutual Fund Services Team.
Summary:
As a member of the Mutual Fund Services team, the Intermediary Oversight Services Associate will assist with the oversight and administration of the Oakmark Funds’ relationships with third party intermediaries. Assist the Intermediary Oversight Manager, and work closely with the Funds’ Chief Compliance Officer, with the implementation of the compliance program related to the intermediaries including Rule 22c-2, redemption fee tracking and compliance with the Funds’ prospectus. Prepare reports to be used by various parties including the Funds’ CCO and the Funds’ Board.
Duties Responsibilities:
- Assist with the administration of all aspects of third party intermediary relationships, including client service requests, transaction facilitation, service fees verification and billing
- Manage intermediary requests for selling agreements
- Assist the Intermediary Oversight Manager and the Funds’ Chief Compliance Officer with the implementation of the compliance program in relation to intermediary relationships including Rule 22c-2 and trade monitoring, redemption fee collection and waivers, trading restrictions, and compliance with prospectus requirements
- Prepare various reports including intermediary asset reports, Rule 22c-2 intermediary trading reports and redemption fee reports
- Lead or participate in projects as assigned to ensure successful completion within the designated timeframe, including generating required project management documentation
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of all written procedures related to this position
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business-related field
- One to three years of mutual fund experience, preferably related to intermediary administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Exemplary customer service skills, including verbal and written communication with Firm personnel and intermediaries
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High degree of initiative
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to assess, explain and solve complex problems
Qualifications Preferred:
- Academic major in Business, Economics, Finance or related field
- Knowledge of mutual fund financial intermediary administration and transaction processing
- Knowledge of DTCC/NSCC processes
