National Account Manager Job in Denver 80212, Colorado Us

National Account Manager

About Us

Telerus, Inc. provides Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to local government agencies to help improve citizen service and reduce funding requirements.  Residing within a substantial data center, the hosted service is complimented by a suite of managed services including innovative implementation methodologies, rigorous quality assurance, and exceptional support.

Telerus is a privately held corporation founded in 2006 with shared commitments to innovation, excellence, and integrity.  The exciting Denver LoDo office environment is one block from the Union Street Station transportation hub and two blocks from Coors Field.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join our business development team and demonstrate your capacities to analyze, design, and execute communication strategies that generate complex, consultative-based software sale leads.  Our Company is comprised of a small, but growing, team that works relentlessly to consistently outperform much larger organizations.  We are looking for a dynamic individual looking to get a “foot in the door” in a fast paced start-up environment and make direct contributions to the growth of the business via involvement in communication strategies such as outbound (cold) phone calls, inbound phone calls, press releases, byline articles, direct mail, web site inquiries, email campaigns, print advertising, online advertising, and potentially… social media channels.  This is a quota carrying position with a performance metric of qualified leads.  You will not be expected to make sales, but you will be required to produce qualified leads after getting up to speed.  Success in this position could quickly lead to increased responsibility and a higher pay scale.

The Role

The Account Manager is responsible for aggressively targeting prospects and scheduling web-based or onsite appointments for the Company’s senior sales executives to make software presentations.  Through activities such as answering incoming phone calls and performing outbound “cold” calls, you will explain the value of the service to local government staff members, including publicly elected officials.  The position involves culling and refining marketing lists, leading telemarketing campaigns based on those lists, and documenting all communications of the campaigns.  Additionally, you will consult with the Telerus CEO on a weekly basis regarding ongoing campaign strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.  Success is clearly defined and very measurable: the number of presentations scheduled and attended.  In other words, the number of qualified sales leads you cultivate.
