Kärcher UK is a £65m UK subsidiary of the well-established, profitable and growing €1.6bn European Group, Kärcher GMBH, which supplies a broad range of products and consumables to a wide spectrum of markets.  Innovation and sustained NPD are core features, 80% of the company’s products are less than 5 years old and Kärcher has recently won The Tesco Online Supplier of the Year Award.  Building on the already successful growth of recent years, this individual will play a pivotal part in the development of some of the company’s most successful and important accounts.                     

 

The Challenge:

 

Reporting to the Consumer Division Sales Marketing Director and a member of a highly motivated and successful Home Garden team, you will take responsibility for specified commercial targets within a small number of key national accounts.

 

Responsibilities will include targets for volume, recommended range, value and gross margin, together with strategic and tactical plans for the profitable growth of the accounts.

 

You will develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts in buying, merchandising, distribution, supply, marketing and e-commerce.

 

Effective relationships with such internal functions as marketing, merchandising teams, stock control, distribution, credit control, pricing and sales staff, must also be maintained.

 

Key trading results and forecasts with incisive commentary for sales meetings must be provided.

              

The Candidate:

 

Of graduate calibre and strong intellect, you must have several years experience in account management, ideally gained supplying the DIY sector, grocery multiples and/or department stores.

 

An understanding of the retailer as a competitor is important as is your skill in range architecture and price point positioning.

 

Exposure to a distributor environment, although not essential, would also be welcome.
