THE ROLE:

We are assisting our client in recruiting for a National Account Executive to manage existing relationships and open up new national accounts in the UK Retail and Grocery sectors. The core focus of this role will be to manage and grow existing accounts and achieve the best profit margins possible for the company. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in managing large retail accounts and have a proven track record in opening up new accounts. Targets will be set with the individual dependent on their KPIs once in role. It is essential that you have experience of selling into at least three of the following; Asda, Sainsburys, BQ, Spicers, Wilkinsons, Homebase and Toys R Us. This role is home based with a national remit with a requirement to spend one day a week in the office.

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a manufacturer of products for the home including storage systems, DIY, mother baby, recycling and gardening products. The organization is going through a period of expansion and development of it's client base and the scope for growth of sales is huge. The annual turnover for our client stands at £12 million and they have ambitious growth plans to grow further with this new appointment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• National Account Management experience in the FMCG sector.
• Experienced of managing grocer and DIY retail accounts.
• Strong long-term client relationship building skills.
• Proven track record in opening new business.
• Strong commercial skills with a key focus on improving profit margins.
• Self-motivated and well organised.
• Excellent communication skills.
• First class presentation skills.

THE PACKAGE:

Basic Salary: £30-£35,000 basic
Commission: Individual performance bonus
