National Director Corporate Capital Markets recruitment

The team sits within the Corporate Solutions England team providing a range of services to Corporates including capital raising, sale and leasebacks, debt raising against corporate property, disposal of lease liabilities and strategic financial advice on rationalisation of corporate property portfolios.

The team works closely with other JLL divisions and has strong business relationships with Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Tenant Representation and Retail.

Role Summary

As a National Director within the team you will have responsibility for managing and closing high profile transactions; a first point of contact for corporate client relationships and have expertise in capital markets, financial modelling, analysis and transaction management as well as being involved in the preparation of pitches for new business and contributing to other methods of business generation.

Responsibilities

• Taking project lead with corporate clients from taking brief, to creating property strategies and overseeing implementation of those strategies

• Ability oversee the detailed financial analysis of property transactions including the cash and profit and loss impact

• Able to deliver creative and bespoke solutions to clients and create business case presentation and deliver at board level

• Experience of leading negotiations from capital markets perspective and finalising commercial transactions Liaise with corporate clients to ensure that the team understand the clients’ commercial objectives

• Able to lead a multi-disciplinary team including colleagues from tenant representation, capital markets, and other specialisms

• Assist in management and development of team; holding effective feedback to direct reports and hold regular development and coaching discussions on both an informal and formal basis

• Delegating work to other team members and managing output

• Aptitude for negotiations, concise accurate advice and client relationship building

• Strategic insight into critical drivers and key stakeholder concerns within corporate clients

• Prepared to take responsibility for targeted amount of revenue or net margin for the business unit

• Seeks to enhance the business by introducing and implementing new concepts and ideas

• Responsible for the identification of business leads and opportunities that will convert to incremental revenue over a period of time

Requirements

• Ideally MRICS qualified

• Expertise in accounting, tax and finance

• Experience in structuring capital transactions across all geographic areas

• Must have strong verbal and numerical skills and be comfortable with report writing and presentations

• Proven track record in portfolio disposals

• Able to build relationships with existing corporate clients, regular communications and winning repeat business

• Ideally have relationships with investors, funders and developers to find the right counterparty

• A team player with existing team management experience and/or leadership potential

• Ability to work under pressure, manage time, and assist the team in meeting deadlines

• Strategic thinking; supporting clients to ensure their work is delivered

• People management skills, particularly in motivating and developing others

• Business acumen and knowledge of how the business works, knowledge of competitors and aware of strategies and tactics in the marketplace
