National Field Service Manager

As a result of our continuing growth, we require a seasoned NATIONAL FIELD SERVICE MANAGER (Ontario based).
Reporting to the Director of Service, the National Field Service Manager is responsible for providing overall direction and leadership to the Field Services organization whose primary responsibility is to ensure that Field Service Installation, Acceptance Commissioning projects are implemented efficiently and in accordance with customer needs. In addition, he/she is responsible for ensuring that all Field Service projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet customer expectations.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing the Field Service team:
§ Manager, Program Management Office
§ Project Managers
§ Project Planners
§ Field Service Administration
§ Field Service Managers and their teams
- Maintain constant contact and rapport with Sales Managers and Sales Executive to establish and maintain strong, positive customer relationships and experiences.
- Provide support on Field Service Installation, Test, Acceptance and / or Commissioning opportunities and ensure the Sales team is engaged on any potential new opportunities which arise.
- Provide daily direction to the Manager, Project Management Office to ensure on time, on budget delivery of all Field Service projects to meet the Revenue and NOI income targets of the Field Service Business in Canada, while creating a culture that emphasizes customer focus, continuous improvement and spirited team work.
- Conduct regular project PL reviews with the Project Management team and inform senior management of any jeopardy which will profoundly affect ability to deliver on time or on budget.
- Provide direction and guidance to the Field Services Business Manager to ensure all Finance, Human Resources (hiring, training and development) and Field Service operational administration issues are managed to expectations and departmental status reports are completed on schedule.
- Provide direction and guidance to the Regional Field Service Managers who responsible for discrete aspects of the business in various locations across Canada and ensure the consistent delivery of outstanding customer service through efficient operations, process improvements and continuous training.
- Provide daily direction and support to the Field Service team by ensuring that issues and escalations are effectively resolved on a timely basis.
- Leverage Lean Principles to ensure management systems, standard work processes, tools and templates are in place and efficient project and departmental processes are developed, instituted and maintained to ensure a high quality, profitable, repeatable and scalable business.
- In concert with the Manager PMO and FS Business Manager, ensure that project and departmental expense budgets are monitored, managed and maintained.
- Develop and present annual Capital budget for ongoing expansion and maintenance of the Field Service organization.
- Set department goals for Scorecards and manage KPIs and deliverables.
- Working with business leaders throughout Alpha to support the initiatives of all departments and other members of the Alpha Group.
- Support the Director of Service in developing the organization to provide a wider range of services to a wider range of customers.
- Apply continuous improvement to all day to day activities.
- Play a leadership role in a high performing work team with a clear vision, open communication and a desire to succeed.
