National Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Education and Training Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities: While supporting Department of Homeland Security and the Office of Bombing Prevention, provide education, training and curriculum development subject matter expertise in the design, development and conduct of a comprehensive training and evaluation program. Coordinates for and participates in unit, jurisdiction, State, regional and national level reviews of ongoing training and the evaluation and development of new curriculum, ensuring all accreditation requirements and intended training objectives are maintained on a continuous basis. Conducts education and training research and consults with OBP in the recommendations necessary to improve training to deter, prevent, and respond to bombing related terrorists attacks and provides OBP with training delivery products which coincides with the analysis of national capabilities. Prepares instructional material for printing and develop outlines with the necessary detail to direct instruction. Deliver finished master copies of all required training products in the correct, FEMA approved, format. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a total of at least 2-4 years relevant training, education and experience including a minimum of 2 years of program/curriculum development experience and must be proficient in the principles and techniques for development of curricula for adult or vocational education programs. Experience with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) and familiarity with FEMA standard instructional formatting for training preferred.
